How long should it take....

...for a forum user to send cards he sold on the BST board? I think 2 weeks is sufficient. I could handle waiting a little longer if he would reply to PM's or emails. I could even handle not receiving a response if he hadn't logged in about 5 times a day every day since I paid. Not to mention, posted more items for sale on the BST board.

I hope he reads this and knows I paid with a CC.

Well, Myself personally I pride myself in shipping within 24 hours of being paid by the buyer. I have found myself looking for postage in foreign cities while travelling, but make sure I get my items out in a timely manner. I can live with slow shipping, if the seller would at the very least communicate.

I ship everything within 24-48 hours of payment.

I don't ship Sats and Suns.

Death and hospitalization are the TWO explanations for delayed shipping
    that I find reasonable.

Yeah, death would make it hard to get to the post office. I could accept that one.

I usually don't mind the seller waiting a week or so to send something and I tell them as much when I buy it. Most items I buy on the board are under $50 and I don't really feel the need to make the seller make a special trip to the PO for my item. That being said I have been buying/trading on these boards for over 6 years and I have never been ripped off (fingers crossed).

  • Sometimes weird things happen at the post office, but I'd like to think that anything would get shipped out (and psotmarked) within 3 business days of the payment, maybe 4 max . The not replying to emails and pm's would really bug me though. That makes it seem far worse than it may actually be.

  • I ALWAYS try to ship within 24 hrs. I know when I buy something I want it as quick as possible and I try to do the same for the customer.

2 weeks is way overboard. My goal is within 48 hours and I don't always meet that but it's within the same week. On a bigger item, I like to make sure the packaging is top notch which means a trip to my local packing store. I pay extra for it but they do a great job and I like the peace of mind of knowing it's secure.

He logged in again this morning. BTW, if I didn't mention it, I am one of three now that has not received the items we paid for.

i generally end auctions on sundays and ship the following wed/thursday for all that have paid. if they pay after my ship date, i'll get them the following week. it seems to work for the most part. i've had a couple of hiccups but they have normally been due to my shipping delays.

    good luck.

    Thanks,
