Opinions: Would you sell an $800 coin to this person?

Just wondering what your thoughts are. I am selling a coin where the high bidder has a 3 feedback. I guess as long as the payment comes through and I require a signature it should be OK, right?

Here is the listing... Listing

I don't see a problem, we all had to start at 0 feedback.

    and happy birthday!

    Might be a longshot.
  • Don't look like it was too long ago that you were a 3 feedback.

Also, an NGC coin and you list the PCGS price guide! That's just plain unethical!image
  • I do not see a problem. If he pays by paypal just make sure you do what you are supposed to do to be eligible for seller protection over $250.

It's never really risk free unless you get paid in a money order that clears (even those are faked at times) with cash placed in your hand.

Credit cards can be bounced back at you months after the fact if the buyer says they were cheated.

Cleared checks can be reneged upon if the buyer can somehow show some intent to deceive or fraud...even if they are lying.

I don't think there is any real absolute protection other than cash. An aggressive and artful crook can find a way to turn back the charges and end up with your merchandise for free. While the odds of this are slim, it happens.

I never look at feedback on routing buyers. they buy, they pay, I ship. Life is good. I only look at feedback if something is unusual.--Jerry

I'd sell an $800 coin to anybody, as long as they gave me $800.

Is that an error or a variety?

You can never tell which ebay buyers will end up giving you trouble
based on feedback alone. Selling is always a risk. Ship it and cover
your butt the best you can.
  • Because of Microsoft's rebate program, many eBay buyers are opening additional eBay accounts to take advantage of the cashback offer. Many gold coin purchases are being made by this type of bidder.

3 or 300 makes no difference as has been pointed out.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Well he still has 9 hours to be outbid, but what a novel approach to spamming.

    Happy Birthday!

I'd feel safer selling to a person with feedback of 3 than buying from one with a feedback of 41-JMHO.
