Ike Conversation piece and question
So I ran across this Ike a few weeks ago. Naturally when I going through these I start with looking at this rim to separate any Clad coins from Silver. So I got excited when I saw this piece. The rim shows no copper layer. It all is shinny Silver. But it is a 1976-P!
Did this coin sometimes have cladding that didn't show? I read in Breens that there were a handful of these proof coins in Silver but from the Philadelphia mint. But this coin is neither Silver or Proof....

It may be from an old presentation/desk piece. I remember old lucite paperweights with silver plated Ikes in them.
