WESPNEX show report

Went to WESPNEX in White Plains NY today. Pretty good show, down in the basement though as opposed to the gym upstairs. Lots and lots of Morgans as usual. Picked up two, one old Anacs and 1 PCGS rattler. Also picked up a 44-S Jeff for the collection. The show was not very crowded. Saw a lot of proof sets, lots of raw coins also. Spent about an hour there. Heard one dealer say that he would not be there Sunday but would be in Parsippany so I would try to avoid Sunday as I am sure he is not the only one. Was looking for early MS slabbed Lincolns. There were essentially none.

Thanks for the report, I usually try to get to at least one WESPNEX show a year (they typically hold four), I believe the bigger ones are in November and January. Friday afternoon is definitely the time to go assuming you can recuse yourself from work for a couple of hours.

I wish I could be there...

The College Board has this wonderful way of setting up all test dates on WESPNEX dates...
  • I love this show and was there until 4:30, arrived at just past noon. Did some "picking" and am a happy camper: 78 VAM-117(raw AU), 78 VAM-220(raw AU), 80O V13A(raw AU55+), 82 O/S VAM-4(raw VF35), 89O VAM-6(raw dipped XF). Then there's one that I've can't attribute: 87O with a clashed G in her neck in a raw MS64; no it's not a VAM-22A, no pitted rev. Oh yeah, (2) Ikes: 71S unc DDO/DDR and a Peg Leg 72P.

Edited for "fat fingers", and dyslexia.
