A Plea$ant $urprise...7 coins 'green' in my inventory

I usually never bother to check 'values' on my coins. What is, is....I don't worry too much about it. Thats what I like about coins, I don't feel like I'm a slave to 'current market value'. I have faith that what I own is top quality PQ stuff, keys, and yes some condition rarities, but for the most part I can depend on popular Low Pop coins to always be in demand.

Today I took a look and found that Seven coins have had nice upward moves, including the MS66RD 1909 S VDB. All in all, about four grand more today, than last week. Of course, values are always in a state of flux, what goes up, can also go down. But, thanks to some good choices, and a healthy market.....I've not had any down moves.

Considering these were bought for the most part with money I pulled from the evil stock market last november...'before' the crash (or downward correction, whatever term you'd like to use), it has proven to be a good move. I sleep better at night, realizing that the value of my coins is not completely dependant on sub prime mortgages written by some bank to a guy in California.

So maybe I'll take the Wife out tonight and go the the local German Restaurant and get some Weiners and Brat...washed down with a good beer. Might even take Pops old beer steins with.

Taking the wife for Weiners, Brats, and Beer on a $4K upswing? Obviously she either really enjoys German food, or she don't know what you got.

    Nice coin.

Yeah, it's nice to see values go up up up - but not until you have someone agree to pay you "x" and they actually do pay you "x" is it worth "x".

That was one good dinner. We live in a town that was originally settled by Germans, over a century and a half ago. Up until the first world war, council meetings were held in German. Some of the traditions live on.

And, yes that four grand was the sum of the rise of the seven coins that went that nice shade of green.

Oh, and selling, thats that last thing on my mind. No pressure at all. By the time I sell...they're gonna be talking about "old blue holders" image

Just like Mr. Blay says..."most collectors sell too soon." I agree...............image

(oh, and Alf, my little personal parade comes with a pretty good umbrella. Last guy who even came close to raining on it...an ol' boss.....hes now busting his tail trying to run a night shift in a dying business. His parade is constantly being rained on. I'm just trying not too smile too much image Life is good. )
