Koufaxs Camera/Photography Thread
Well thanks to Live.com with ther 30% off--I finally pulled the trigger and bought a new Nikon D80. Saved 200 bucks on it. Camera was only about 400.00 bucks new after the rebate. Not bad. I am going to try to keep all my questions about coin picture taking in this thread. I already have a sigma 105 macro that I bought last year. By reading up on these camera/lens threads--it looks like this sigma is a good macro--yes? I am in the middle of trying to find a nice copy stand that is turn key with everything including the lights. Does anybody know were I can find one other then eBay. I already looked there and didn't see much. The photo editing software I am using is Elements 5.0. So from what I said what else will I need to start taking coin pics. thanks

This is who I purchased my copy stand from, stand up seller.
If you haven't bought Mark's Coin Photography book yet, I highly recommend it.
Find an inexpensive light stand that either has flex arms or adjustable poles. You will need a couple.
As mentioned already Marks Book is a must. PM him directly for price quote or check Amazon.
Used copy stand is fine, sometimes they are on Craigslist. You can buy new at someplace like bhphoto.com
