in your opinion do you think the coin was net graded? the obv appears to be hairlined in a certain fashion. luster does not seem right for the details left on the coin. it is a very hard thing for me to describe. some areas look whizzed up, others look fine, but the remaining luster has the halo look. xf45-au50 net.
i will state the pictures make a guess very hard. it would not surprise me that i am totally wrong.
let me please also add, that i would LOVE to own that coin. an amazing, truly amazing piece of history.

I apologize for my horrible photography! All of my coin photos end up looking washed out as I try to balance my Sony Mavica 1.2mp camera against the lighting of my horrible lamp. There looks to be a few headlines, but the angle I took the photos at seem to highlight every little perfection. The areas immediately in front of and in back of the head have a bit darker toning.

Are they really this stupid, or are they destroying the dollar on purpose?

<< <i>IMO, they got the grade correct, although I would have expected a little more wear on the reverse eagle. >>
There's wear on the clouds, wing tips, head, chest, and tail... these stay quite attractive to about VF25 then it's hit or miss.
