Is this a PCI slab?

Is this a PCI slab? If so do their gold label slabs denote a problem coin? I know their red slabs are net graded, problems, but what about their gold slab.

That was used to show regular grading.

Thanks, ebay seller has it mis-titled as an 1861 Cent which I need, I do not need a 1891 cent. Dam

I knew it was too good to be true.

I thought the PCI Gold Labels were a step up from the standard green labels?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • i think when they used the green label they were more strict in grading. when they went to the gold label they were known to overgrade frequently.

No. Just the opposite. The older green label slabs were graded by different owners and are considered graded fairly conservatively for the most part.

  • PCI green labeled coins were definitely much better than the gold labeled coins.

Gold usually were 2-4 pts to high where the greens had a tendency of being 1-1.6 less in grade thus making them worthwhile to have today- if you can find some not cracked out already.

Reds were the why it is not in a greenie.

IMO, all gold label are problem coins until proven otherwise.
