Funny story- Jordan RC

OK, so I listed a PSA 8.5 Jordan Fleer rookie on ebay with a starting bid of $750 and a BIN of $780, not too out of line with VCP average. SO I get this message from ebay id "carabitses":

carabitses: hi there , i would like to see a scan of the
back of the card if it looks like the front i will buy it thanks nick

So I send him the scan and don't hear from him for 2 days. I ask him if he was still interested and I get this message:

carabitses: yes but my max would 700 delivered thanks nick

After some haggling, we agreed to do $700 but off ebay (saved me $40 in ebay fees). Then I get this message:

carabitses: i need a scan of the back please nickcarabitses@hotmail.com thanks

At this point I know he's probably gonna back out, but I send him a scan of the back anyway. About an hour later I get this message:

carabitses: thanks for trying so hard to make it work.i just got some really bad news . my friend sold a 9.5 jordan rookie of mine w/ all 9.5 subs 6 to a guy for 6k last week. the guy who bought the card tried to sell it and he could not so he paid for the card w/ his credit card and paypal send his funds back . so it looks like he will be getting a refund and i am going to have to come up with 6k which i already spent. so i was just getting ready to pay you when my fiend called me. so i am going to sleep on it if you can move go for it i am going to have to hold until this 9.5 jordan sale is straightened out. i am so sorry that i wasted your time. but i haid evey intention of purchasing the jordan from you. thanks nick

No surprise really, I didn't respond even though I wanted to. Obviously the story is BS, but whatever. I was telling someone today about this, and he tells me that this clown did the same exact thing to him with his Jordan- talked around in circles for a couple days, then backs out and says sorry for wasting his time. I do a little research and saw that this jayhole bought a Star Jordan RC for $2,300 a half hour after he emailed me his sob story!! Me being me, I can't let something like this slide, so I sent him an email letting him know what a piece of crap he is for agreeing on one deal and breaking that deal to spend the money elsewhere. Not to mention the complete BS excuse he gave me for backing out.

I just thought this whole thing was ridiculous. I may never answer another ebay question again.

He just wants scans of the front and back to use for an upcoming scam auction. That's my guess.

Could I please get a pic of all 4 sides of the Jordan rookie? I will spend 19.00 for the card. I think I will give you a good deal as long as I get the pics I request.

if the scan of the back looks like the front, wouldn't this be an error?

photoshop the back, flipped in the holder so it looks the same both front/back to set him straight. lol

    Thanks,

Yeah, I got the memo, and I understand the policy. And the auction isn't scheduled to end until tomorrow, anyway, so it's not really a problem.
