In a new ANACs holder, it seems like it couldn't turn that fast since they only started that holder about 2 years ago.
Maybe it did grade 66 as it is. I think I'd leave it alone.

Did you have it graded or buy it like that?

At only 167,000 pieces made I would try a conservation and a regrade.
I do not think I have EVER seen a 1994 matte finish nickel look that bad - Congratulations image

the last 94 sms i made at 69fs only brought less then $70

the 93 coin n currency set's these are bred from can be had for $40 to $60

true only some 160k were minted but all exsist-none are lost

if it's about mintage look at 38 to 42 proofs and their price position

before that 94 is cracked out n messed with n submitted again with fees and shipping to n from to reap a "less then average grade"(that's not even fs at anacs)...it's best to sell it to shave off what a 69fs is bought for

or it's selling price be used against likes of a 38 to 42 proof already graded

this coin is not worth any regrade or dipping attempts if one considers it for what it is

i'm not bashing the coin nor pontif here just laying an overall to be considered as 69fs are merely break even points so unless a shot at 70fs is there...i move along

  • I bought that one and 1 other which is a pcgs slab, and has a dies crack or some anomoly around the obv rim, which if submitted as an error would probably bring a higher grade:

here is more of the anacs one:

the coin is no dog, I have bought and sold jefferies for many years, just is nappy looking due to grease.

here is a pic trying to show the die crack on the obv rim of the pcgs example:

crack or whatever goes thru IGWT and thru Liberty

Abe says it would be a cold day in hell before these both were considerd dogs image

It is so hard to say whether conservation will work. Unfortunately, I cannot sticker that coin as is, and the rules for Longacre Stickers preclude their being assigned to conserved coins. image
