Cent experts, please help on this 1960-D cent

I have been looking through some rolls and I found this. I thought it was a 1960-D Large date over small date because of the doubling seen in the 9 and the 6, but I didn't see the ghost D. Anyone know if this is a LG/SM date or just machine/strike doubling?

That is a 60-D small date.

What you see on the inside curls of the 6 and 9 is master die doubling that's on all of them so it's normal.

From the photos I would say machine damage doubling.

I just don't see split serifs.

  • youi can see all the die-polish lines so you know is a well worked die ~ late die state
so i think the doubling could be attributed to die deterioration.
