Struck-Through Error?

Came across this 1991 cent in a roll from the bank. It sure looks like it was struck through something but I am not sure. Any and all opinions welcome. Thanks in advance!

  • Looks like a strike-through to me, but it might just be a deep scratch AKA Post Mint Damage.

Looks more like a gouge from a scratch as it dies off when ever it hits something in its travel path.

Tough to call from the pic.
I have a very similar looking struck through error for comparison.
    Hope it helps

Sorry I don't have any cents here's a strike though on a proof... looks like it was wire.

Generally a strike through means that there is something on a planchet right before being struck. Damage to the planchet such as scratches, dents or gouges generally doesn't qualify as strike throughs.

Here is an example of a coin struck through a small sliver of wood.
