can a coin with a spot of corrosian be worn down so that it grades?

I was reading this thread about a 1909-s vdb that was about A-U in grade ...but had a couple spots.

in it someone said it would bag because of them.

can using it as a pocket piece wear it down enough so it grades?

    I could not imagine carrying a 09-s vdb around in my pocket. Interesting thought though.

    How does wearing down a coin (so that there are less details) make a coin better?

    My 1909 S VDB does have a two spots on the back. But with the slight lister around the rim that a fellow member pointed out I would never carry it around in my pocket. The details have a great detail and I would hate to lose that. Anyways the only way to get rid of them would be to remove any last eye appeal, or to damage the coin even more than the slight corrosion.
