Having trouble with cards labeled incorrectly

For the past 4 submissions I am getting cards labeled incorrectly from PSA. It makes no sense that they could label 5 straight black border 1989 Starting Lineup football cards and then the 6th one is labeled as a 1990. I have about 10 cards now from the past 4 submissions that are incorrect. Does PSA reholder these at no charge?

Yes, print out a submission form and write Mechanical Error across the top, and choose other for service. Put as much detail about the correct label, I usually put a sticky note on each slab with the correct info. You will get either the shipping you pay refunded or a grading voucher. You should call customer service as they will confirm via email once they receive your items and how you would like to be reimbursed for shipping.

    Good Luck.

  • I almost bought a Seau starting lineup PSA 10 on ebay until I noticed that it was labeled 1993. It is actually a 1997.

  • I just did this myself with a handful of mechnical error cards. Included the submission with some other regular submissions just so that i was not paying postage and handling (the charge sending to them) for just these themselves.

What cefy1 said is exactly what you want to do.

    Also

    - I put detailed description next to the entries on the submission form and I also put them on index cards (or whatever) and taped them to the backs of the Card Saver - just to make extra sure the corrections were understood

    - You dont have to fill out any cost for 'return charge or shipping fees' so that is filled out as Zero.

    - These of course go on a submission form by themselves which is why the top you would have wrote 'Mechanical Error'

    - If this is the only thing you are submitting make sure to write 'Mechanical Error' on the outside of the box.....

    - Make sure to still include the Declared Values of the cards.

I have not contacted them yet to receive a grading voucher from them to compensate for shipping costs, but since I included this submission with other submissions I probably wont bother.

I sent them in and they arrived the day after labor day and they were logged and changed within a day or two - they were then mailed the other day with 2 of my other submissions. So it was pretty lickity split quick

  • I find it hard to believe that they would make such mistakes.

I'm sorry that this happened to you.
