When was the Type One Philly 3 Leg variety discovered image

I didn't learn about it until about 5 years ago.

    Around 1992 if I remember correctly. It's a 3 1/2 legged variety.

    I still have the original article from Coin World reporting the discovery of the variety. It is dated Jan 26 1995 so I was a couple of years off in my previous post.
