Prayers needed for my newborn baby- Great Update

Hi everyone, My wife and I brought our newborn baby to the Dr. on last Friday for her 1 week checkup. During the checkup I showed the Dr a few water like blisters that started appearing earlier that day. He took fluid and sent them out for cultures and said she had a staff infection and that there were a few varieties of the infection. Since Friday no more blisters have appeared and she seems great. Last night the Dr called us and explained to us that she has a staff infection with a brand new germ that has been very deadly and very contagious, but they haven't seen it in infants. Our Dr will be calling a few infectious disease speciallists this morning and see what course of action will be needed. He also said most likely our baby will need hospitalization to have a spinal tap and 14 days of IV's as there aren't any oral antibiotics that work for this new germ.
As soon as I get more news from the Dr this morning I will keep you all posted.

Thanks to everyone for the extra prayers and please keep them coming. I believe you mentioned what my daughter has, but our Dr said not to look on line for more info online as most of the material is on the worst side and will only scare us more. I called the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and they do have 4 infectious disease expert Dr's on staff and said they have had at least 4 or 5 of that staff infections in previous patients. I will call my Dr and keep everyone posted.
