<< <i>Looks lower than AG03 to me. >>
The obverse yes, but the reverse is too strong for an overall FA2.
AG3 is right.
if it had more eye appeal and patina i would have bought it long
ago. I need a no motto to match up with my 1866S with motto
I bought from RYK.
I am all for low ball coins but golly whiz they better have awesome
eye appeal. otherwise some more meat on the bones looks so much
better.
otherwise the only coin I used to own that could compete with it
is this very common but lovely 1887S.

<< <i>I once had a seated quarter that was so worn it appeared to be an unstruck planchet...All except for the date, which was strangely full. >>
did only one mint mint the coin that year? that would be an awesome
lowcall coin if you could determine the mint.
here is my seated quarter i am very proud of. Minted in S. still visible.

If memory serves it was an 1856...like an idiot i accidentily sold it in a pile of junk silver...No way could the mint have been determined though
