  • One question if I may, why does half of your messages sound like PSA is a fault? You, PSA and the USPS all seem to agree that the USPS lost them.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Just so you guys know, After the Nolan Ryan PSA 10 - pop 1 went unsold I got contacted by someone who just got back from vacation and got offered $1500.00 for the card so I guess it was a huge loss.

I have now had two fall-out-of-the-chair laughs this week. One at the thought of that red-ass Roger Goodell being forced to refer to Chad Johnson as Chad Ocho-Sinco in a nationally televised interview/presser, and one at the modification that Blackborder made to Matt's sigline.

So it was in fact Roger that stole this package from the USPS? And he's now trying to sell off the priceless loot on Ebay?
  • mine were shipped aug. 22 and i still dont have mine either , this could be a problem for a lot of people

Boo, basicaly what happened is that Roger snuck into the USPS shipping facility near mmync's hometown and hid in the broom closet until everybody was gone. Once the coast was clear, he grabbed the package and climbed in the back of a mail truck hiding behind large boxes. When that truck was taken out the next day, he hopped off at the first stop, took a cab to the airport and took the first flight back home. He just had to have the Bernie Nicholls PSA 8 RCs.

Incidentally, it appears that PSA removed the cards from the pop report which I find a little weird because they have to be floating around somewhere out there right?

I think it is good they removed those certs from the pop report..
those cards are no longer "legit"
anyone buying them can trace the thief because they will know most likely who they bought it from
on the off chance they check the cert # for validity of course
  • Good point Oaksey, hadn't thought of that.

Well, given the insane prices paid for PSA 10's of Nolan Ryan cards issued after his playing days I can't say I blame him. And of course the Nichols RC's are just icing on what is already a very decadent cake.

As an aside, I still think the OP's triumphant posting of the VCP results for the Nichols RC's is one of the top three funniest posts ever to grace these boards. And that's saying something.
  • +1 for using the phrase "decadent cake".
  • You can't have your decadent cake and eat it too.
