I was lucky enough to pull this cut auto from a sealed case of bonus (blaster) boxes of 2008 Topps Allen & Ginter. The pack odds are 1:138,500. Here is a link to the auction

    This may be the most interesting auction to watch that has ever been posted on these boards. Right now there are 20 bids with 17 different bidders. Always a good sign for high final value especially with 8 days left.

    I don't know about that Bill, but it is nice of you to say. I will say that this auction is definitely one of the most exciting that I have ever offered.

    If it were me I would make sure I contacted Tuff Stuff, Beckett, www.sportscollectorsdaily.com and any other news source and let them know that this thing is out there on EBay. The more folks that know about the auction the better. I am sure this kind of autograph doesn't come up much. Good luck!

    nah...I've never liked sequels much. Especially not when I didn't like the original all that much in the first place.

    I thought it was one of the better cuts to pull on the list, and in thinking that, I initially figured it would sell for $2,000 to $2,500. Am I unhappy with $1,675? No way Jose. image

    That is a cool card, congrats on the sale. What was the basis for the $2000-$2500 estimate? Have there been similar cards selling for that? I don't even know what's out there (besides the Lincoln card, I guess).

    The fact that it wasn't a 1957 disc card.

    Nick, it would have brought more if it was a little clearer in the auto so blame Topps image
