Our favorite re-sealer has really stepped up his game.

Now he's looking for four-figure bids. No more single packs...this guy is resealing entire boxes now.

Wonder who'll get hosed on this one? Sad.

    Didnt he previously try to sell a 75 mini box? Or was that someone else?
  • I feel bad for the lucky person.

    Last time I looked, PA was either number 4 or 5 on the per-capita auction fraud
    list, at the FBI site.

    Sadly, nowhere in his details does it mention the words/term "unopened", which creates an immediate flag when I see that. Err, or don't see it image
  • agree, this resealer is not douchebag gary. just another giant douche.

    Has anyone ever told these resealers that these message boards are talking about them? I'd love to see them come on here and try to defend themselves while they get pounded from all sides.

    That would be fun to read!

  • The box in question was a 1971 OPC baseball complete box. I personally know the winner image Since the feedback was left for the box, the "winner" has received about 30 emails regarding said feedback requesting more information regarding this sellers buying ID. A little birdie told me his buying ID is pastoney. Thanks for the heads up on this auction. There is a chance that I may personally know the future winner of this auction too.

    When the resealer is Gary, he doesn't even bother to defend himself anymore. He just flaunts his evil plans. He's truly a human piece of image

    This guy is a notorious reasealer, and operates under several different IDS, a couple of which are also active right now on ebay. This guy is even worse than Gary, actually. He should be imprisoned, plain and simple, for the garbage he is passing off to clueless buyers.

    This thief takes only Checks and Money Orders, unfortunately. I'm sure that's due to his anticipation of said chargebacks, too. Overtimecards is another one who no longer accepts Paypal for that reason, too.

    That's why I said "our favorite resealer". This guy is WORSE. Seriously. Look how many auctions he's been doing lately. It's nuts.

    He won't have that problem soon When Ebay forces sellers to accept Paypal only.

    E-Bay isn't going to be able to enforce that rule, just like they tried to do with the Aussies, they will have to back down when the 1st person takes them to court.
  • I believe they will be able to do it, they already do it for sellers who registered after 2006. Amazon, Naxcom and several other sites have been basically been doing it for years with higher fees.

    If they don't they will make it next to impossible to sell without taking it.

    What some folks are calling "PayPal Only," is really:

    "PayPal, ProPay, OR any certified merchant-account."

    In AU, the issue was different. Ditto, the laws.

    The currently contemplated scheme is not vulnerable to litigation.
    (Somebody may try it, but none of the legal theories I have heard
    today are floaters.)

    //////////////////////////////

    AND, EBAY has already said that they "will investigate accounts that
    have an excessive number of 'failures to use checkout.'" That means
    they know that folks are going to continue to use paper payments,
    and EBAY cannot stop it. If a seller tries to "discourage PP," he will
    be acted against when/if caught.

    /////////////////////////

    Suppose some protected class was unable to afford or qualify for
    ProPay or a merchant-account?

    In America, poor folks are not members of a protected class.

    ////////////////

    This afternoon, EBAY stopped just short of saying, "NPBs will
    no longer be able to leave FB." That will be the final hook they
    use to convince the seller population.

    Q:

    "...I just learned that soon my customers wont be able to pay by check or money order any longer. After all the years I have been selling on e-bay you will be squeezing me out of the E-bay business. I do accept paypal but I have faithful customers who dont choose to use it. ...

    A:

    And you can continue to do so. If a seller has "legacy" customers who prefer to pay you with an paper payment, you are free to accept these payments if you so choose. If a buyer contacts you and asks if they can pay with a paper payment method, you are free to do so. What will change in October is that sellers will no longer be able to provide the options for paper payments in either their description or emails to buyers.

  • Its gonna be like Cash sellers can accept cash, but they cannot communicate they will take cash if the buyer knows them or sends it anyway Ebay will have no say.

    I find it highly ironic (and pathetically sad) that ebay decides to impose all these new restrictons to improve what they falsely call "buyer confidence" while continuing to allow tons of obviously fraudulent and counterfeit items to be sold every day. There are many resealers who do accept paypal and their feedback defies logic with mostly positives from uninformed buyers who are just glad to get their bogus pack in 2 days.

  • Those buyers are able to use the buyer protection policy though to get their money back sellers who do not accept Paypal do not give this protection/ That makes buyers feel safer in general.

    What good is buyer protection if most buyers don't even realize they're being ripped off? Read the feedback for some of these resealers--that's the problem here. For every one knowledgable collector who gets his money back, 30 get screwed.
