  • I have seen 100 times worse than that. At least all of the things listed in the title actually have something to do with the card.

  • yea, i agree, i have seen more blatant....this just seems "crafty"...
  • I don't see a problem with that. Personally, I think that the issue of keyword spamming is pretty weak. Unless you're clearly intending to deceive, I don't see a problem with trying to attract more people to your item. Who knows, it could be an unrelated term that brings you to an item that you might really enjoy. The folks who raise the "keyword spam" flag on non maliciously titled items need to get another hobby.

Most of the people who report for keyword spamming are competeing sellers many of which are guilty of the same practices.
  • Probably so. I just thought this thread was silly.

    VERY true.

KWS is a huge problem in fashion/electronics categories.

If a buyer searches for "new shirt," used-clothing sellers who use "like new" in their titles
    totally ruin the buyer's search.

    new ipod

    like new ipod

BOTH mean the same thing to the search engine. This leads to HUGE numbers of NPBs
because buyers refuse to read the listings until AFTER they buy; they just look at the
    titles and bid/buy.

It is a clear act to decieve...they want people to see it that are looking for griffey...
  • Griffey is on the card too. Big deal. If I was Griffey fan, that might entice me to buy it.

no big deal except for either griffey or jeter is on ALL of the goudey graphs...
  • So what? If he listed Jeter in the same manner (if he was on the card) it would still be acurate and not unreaosnable. I think you need to not worry so much about such trivial things.

My question is can this card be found with both the GRiffey and Jeter versions?

If so then that may be a reason for it to be titled the way it was.
