Hmmm... I'll have to remember to do this in my auctions.

Hey, go ahead and try it. If no one reports it, you're home free. But I used to report lots of stuff, and learned that for "live" auctions, there are NO rules. Even SGS slabs can use grade numbers in the title.

At the end of the year, according to this announcement.

Forget about it! There are too many rats on these boards that will report your auction for any MINOR violation of Ebay's ridiculous rules for coin auctions.

For the record, I was being sarcastic. I rarely ever auction on ebay and would never spam even if allowed to do so.
<< <i>What is the big deal? And why d people feel the need to report what others do? I have never really understood the latter. Is it revenge? Pride in being a tattletale? You want to cost someone money? Why do guys/gals report vilotions on ebay? Why can ebay not run there own business and rely on others free of charge to do it for them? Why help ebay out? What does it do for you personally? >>
You could only understand my motivation if you once had a legitimate business on eBay, listing genuine coins with accurate grades, only to lose money because of unfair competition from crooks siphoning collector dollars by selling fakes, and coins with fictitious grades in Coin World holders.
And even non-dealers, unaffected by such activities, lose some of their investment in their collection from the exodus of many would-be new collectors, who lose interest in numismatics, once they learn they have been cheated.
Yes, eBay can "run there own business", but they only remove false listings that get reported. Making it hard for crooks to steal isn't just helping eBay, it's helping ourselves in the long run.

IMO----Reporting fakes and scams is different than reporting auctions for minor EBAY rule violations.
I applaud the members here who report the fakes and scams. But those who run to Ebay to report minor auction violations are nothing more than tattletails and squealers.
