There is Colony Coins in Newton, Ma. which is not too far from Boston probably less than 10 miles. It is owned by Mr. Fitts (cant remember his first name, but he is highly renowned in numismatics). A little shop but you can check out alot and I mean alot of coins there.
<< <i>Check the phonebook there-I'm sure there are a few. >>
He said he was looking for GOOD coin shops in Boston, thus the reason he asked the question. I'm sure the OP knows what a phone book is.
Edited: Also, please update the post with your finds when you're done. My company is based in Newton and I travel up there quite a bit and would enjoy checking them out myself. thanks!
Northeast Numismatics is in Lexington, 20 miles up the street. If that's not the best in the state, I don't know who would be.
Hope this helps!

Northeast Numismatics is actually in Concord. They don't have a shop, only an office space on the second floor in a professional building. All of there coins are stored offsite so if there's anything you want to see, you'll need to make an appointment ahead of time. And they are all great people to deal with.
There are some really good ones in the Newport Area...google Newport Coin Collector's and you'll find a couple cool ones (Newport is like an hour from you)

Thought I read here that they ended their walk-up retail business and were doing strictly mail order/internet now?
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
