PCGS turn time......

21Walker21Walker Posts: 1,762 ✭✭✭
Their web site says 30 day economy which is what I assume my 8 platinum 'freebies' are. Looks like they are holding true to their estimate. Coins received Juen 20th and today is the 25th business day. Anybody else waiting this long for results (not coins in hand, just results)......Thanks in advance............Rick

I think the Baltimore show slowed them down.

  • I also submitted my 8 "free grades" around the same time as you, but I experienced much faster turnaround. More specifically, my order was received at PCGS on 6/27/08 (7 days after yours), and I got my coins back last week. they were shipped back from PCGS on 7/15/08.

Your Platinum freebies should have been for the regular service instead of the economy service. Unless you checked the economy box instead of the regular box on your submisson form.

Got two freebie submissions in right now. 1 is my 8 free platinum and the other is a 4 freebie submission for 90% complete on SHQ registry set. Both logged on 7/07/08. I figured the 8 would take a while longer since all were marked "variety attribution". Thought the 4 SHQ's would have been graded by now.

Wow, good for you. I didn't check economy on the form. Maybe the coins are so good they need a little extra time to make sure the grade is correct (as you know coins get better with time)image

Perhaps it is 30 days with a full moon in it!

I realize that. In the OP I said business days. I didn't count 4th of July or weekends. It is probably ANA show, Baltimore show and vacations. I was just trying to see what other members were experiencing..............Rick

My economy order hit on 6/19, still waiting for those grades. I had a modern land the same day and it shipped back to me on 7/16.

You can't count July 3-4 or this entire week as business days toward your results, the former were holidays and the latter they're all at the ANA. There's a remote chance you could see grades today or tomorrow, I've had stuff get finalized while the graders were at a show.

I with you there as I posted in my last post. The shows, vacation etc....it's the busy season. My previous submissions usually came back (from date of receipt to coins in hand in under 20 days). Just trying to see what everybody is experiencing.........I'm in no hurry, just anxious......................Rick

OK, here is the scoop, thirty days

that are odd numbered. If the person

submitting the coins is odd, then it might

    take longer.image

    You're not alone...we've got 3 submissions in...received at PCGS in June...still waiting...
  • I'm glad to hear that I am not alone- many of y'all have been waiting 2 weeks longer than me! I HATE waiting for grades to post, especially when I'm nervous (and hopeful) about results!
