Ive never seen so many listed at one time!

there are a few nice VF grade area coins that are very nice.

..but,,,,thats a LOT of chain cents for sale at one time...

I think if I were in the market....id want to consider this one. the surfaces are nice, the color is nice, its ez to see with a sharp strike on the reverse.

These are not really a rare coin, at least in low grades. They suffer from the "1909-S VDB Effect," meaning demand from colelctors is sky-high and pushed prices through the roof. These were widely saved, but are coveted by collectors as a 1st year of issue, Chain Type, and a historically significant relic. I believe there are thousands of Chain cents in existence, though the nice ones are genuinely rare. Anyone have a number on the surviving population?
