  • They have a .25 fixed price listing fee special through the 29th, list it for $1500 with best offer.
  • if it sells you get reimbursed for the cost of the reserve. Are you confident it will sell?

I am never confident in auctions.. especially for that type of money...
you need the buyer that needs the card that has the $$$
    at the right time

  • The only problem with a store is you will pay $97 FVF's for a $1200 item. About twice as much as a regular auction.

To quote an old Home Depot ad, "Why [does Ebay] even need these specials? To me that's just saying to the customer that we're going to jack up our prices but every once in awhile we'll give the customer a break." image

Honestly, the odds that someone will bid are even less. Most auctions that have a high opening bid appear to just get ignored for the most part. Everyone is always looking for a "steal". Low Ball City, Utah..

exactly.. people ignore those.. they love to compete...
I love when people start out with high start prices.. it is a good way to get low final prices

that would be 8% in ebay fees. the higher priced your item is the less you pay in fees. I just sold an item for a good bit more and fees were $61, which was under 4%

I disagree with everything Nick says, so I guess I disagree with all of you.

this, in a nutshell is the problem with EBAY now...they make it too expensive for people to run auctions that they feel comfortbale with, instead they are pushing BIN's with WAY to high asking prices....

ebay has become a BIN Ghost town, no wonder their profits are way down, sales have to be WAY down....

BRING BACK THE AUCTIONS PLEASE....tired of overpriced BIN's!

The problem with that is due to the new "better" feedback system many buyers win auctions and do not pay, because sellers are scared to file UPIs for fear of a neg so many sellers are forced to sell with BIN with immediate payment. Until Ebay fixes the feedback system auctions will continue to diminish.

I agree with Randy, who agreed with Leo, who agreed with Nick, who agreed with someone else, but apparently all disagree with CD.

Ebay should have ALL auctions .25 listing. A flat FVF on all items. An end to the excessive fees for this and that will bring back sellers.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • Sounds good.
