I will be getting a copy of the book... but will be hard pressed to stop sending my coins to him to photograph... will leave the work to the master...

capturing the true luster AND Color on a coin AND achieving consistent lighting AND keeping the coin head on with no glare AND in slab is a truly remarkable feat in my eyes...
just incredible work... Good Luck with the Book Mark!

Some of Mark's Peace dollar photos will be in the new Peace dollar book from Whitman (November). They are uniformly excellent - some of the detail shots will make your eyes pop! There's a 1923 VAM-3 detail that is amazing as well as errors and others.

This halfpenny is in an NGC MS64BN PL holder. The fields are absolutely liquid!
I'd never even come close to being able to capture the liquidity.

This diminuitive copper piece is only 60% the size of a U.S. dime!
