Teletrade rubbing me the wrong way!

Normally, I have good things to say about TT.

But this new "gold points" program is just silly. Anybody remember S&H Greenstamps?image

And instead of rewarding long time customers, they offer the "Free 1500 gold points" to newbs! image

Not true. They delayed jacking up the buyers premium from 12-15% for long time customers to the fall. Might as well use Heritage now.

Yeah, that has been rubbing me the wrong way as well......
Should have done the 1500 for all and given an extra 500+ for the first purchase in July. imho

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

TT has also been rubbing me the wrong way for several years now.

I think the new gold point system is a joke. So far I have exactly zero points.

I may still buy occasionally, but will never sell anymore on TT. I used to buy heavily back in the old phone-in days and it has steadily gone downhill from there. And my selling experiences with TT left alot to be desired.

I will never sell on TT again.

Rarely do I buy anything anymore...Full Retail,, then just to end up Unsold.

    Goodbye TT.

It's like going to the gas station, and the voice prompter asks me to swipe my card to "Get my Points". I just hit mute and cuss under my breath.

Hmmmm - I guess TT's new strategy is to entice newbies into the fray to replace the long timers that are leaving in droves.

I will always have a soft spot for T.T. ; but the gold point program is an insult ..........

    as for the green stamps -i loved filling books with them and going to the redemption stores- but i was only 12 years old;

in those days a penny was worth what a quarter is now ..........so a penny rebate from Teletrade for every inflation ravaged dollar spent is of little value to me

I remember the Top Value gold stamps with "TV" printed on the front of a gold stamp as well as the Sperry and Hutchinson Greenstamps. Top Value stamps were given by a food store near me in Audubon NJ called Penn Fruit, which has long since gone away.

I agree about Teletrade, just a bunch of bull to cover up the fee hikes... I won't be selling much there anymore either as the increased buyer fees will result in lower prices if you are a consignor.

" In recognition of your support of Teletrade®, we are extending the 12% buyer's fees on your account for three months, ending September 30, 2008. This will be calculated automatically on your statement and online. It's just another way of saying thank you for your loyalty. "

and oh, by the way - could you please bend over ..........

"Because we are offering you this three month of reduced fees, you will only be earning 0.5 points per dollar spent in our Gold Rewards program. After the reduced fee period has passed, you will be earning 1 point per dollar spent."
