Does the Cherrypicker's guide list an 1859-O Seated Half with a MPD?

I cannot for the life of me find my Fivaz-Stanton book. I saw a nice 1859-O Seated Half at a local B+M today with something funny going on above the 9 in the date- it looked like it might be a mis-placed date between the 9 and the rock, but I wasn't sure. Now I can't find my reference- can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

The only 1859 O i see listed is a Repunched Date

    PUP: DATE

Description: A secondary 1 is evident slightly south of the primary, and a secondary 9 is visible very slightly north, showing only as a doubled seriff.

Prices are just about double normal

Comments: This and other RPDs are abundant in all Liberty Seated coinage series.

  • Thanks for the assist, rg. It's a nice and reasonably priced coin on its own merits- I just wish I had a budget for coins right now. I am going to check it out again with a loupe after I find my &*%@ book, if it's not already gone.

check out Dick Osburn's inventory. He lists seven 1859-O halves by Wiley-Bugert (WB) numbers. One likely matches the coin you saw.
