Flying Eagle Cents (incl. 1858 DDR..?)

I just purchased these two coins: FE 1857 and 1858. Both close to XF, even though I only paid F/VF price image

The 1858 coin seems to have a doubled die reverse (The wreath).

I am thinking that I may want to submit them, but I wonder it they may be body bagged because of the dirt and the scratches?
(The 1857 has a small scratch above the eagle's head. The 1858 has a small scratch below O in OF..)

BTW: Would acetone remove the dirt, or should I just leave the coins as they are?

Pictures (the small white spots are from my scanner):

How did you get those for F/VF money? They are XF45 to AU all day!

The 1858 SL has extra outlines not doubling.

I don't really know why anyone would waste money certifying these. Just pop them in your album and enjoy them "au naturelle".

Internet auction with small pictures that didn't show the quality. I paid 40 dollars for the 1858 and 60 dollars for the 1857.

    OK - thanks.
I suppose this is quite normal, then.
