grade help requested on an 1808/7 Capped Bust(NEWP)

I just bought this and it was listed as an XF-40 and problem free.They have perfect feedback and 3 day return priveledge.I think it has better than XF-40 details left and if really problem free may grade higher.What do you think as to grade and overall look.I personally like them darker,but sometimes I take what is available.

I would say that coin is at least EF40. These were often very weakly struck. Would have to see the
coin in had to see the surfaces before calling it EF45 or better

I also like my coins a little darker. Here is my 1808/7 which I just received this weekend.
It is in an NGC VF25 holder, at least until I get the hammer out.

TennesseeDave- I would guess XF from the details on yours- it does look a little "light" in color. Nice detail on the curls and eagle's feathers.

I love the obverse cracks on yours, Fishteeth- very cool.

The pictures provided make the coin look to have AU details. My guess is the coin has little luster, so the seller called it XF. If this one could get into even an ANACS 40 graded holder, it is worth the price you paid.
