Would you take Eye Appeal or Quality for a coin?

Would you take eye appeal or quality for a coin?
I have two of the same coin and cannot decide which one to keep. Unfotunately, I can't keep both . One has better eye appeal and is much shinier and clean with very bright luster but it also has more hit marks. The other has almost no hit marks and is a close upgrade but has some milk spots and very slight toning. They are the same grade but not 69s or 70s. Neither is cleaned or damaged.
The reverses are about the same though the second coin's reverse has more minor hairlines.
Which would you pick???

However, from your description of your two coins, I'd have to see them in hand to decide.
Eye appeal is subjective, after all...and I tend to be wary of bright, shiny coins.
But all things being relatively equal, I'd take the eye appealing coin every time.
Bright is not a description that usually appeals to me.
Post some pics, if you can, so we can take some hacks at 'em.

60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
However, you phrased it with one coin having superior luster and more hits, vs. not so great luster and a cleaner surfaces. For most series, in mint state, I'd go for the luster.
Again, impossible to answer these hypotheticals without actual coins, so no vote from me. How many more hits? Where? How much nicer luster?
<< <i>Most would take eye appeal over technical grade, if that doesn't translate into a full point higher.
