1916 DDO Buffalo Nickel

Does this Buffalo Nickel look like the double die in 1916? I have taken a picture of it, but I could not get a picture of the date because it is really worn. Based on the pic, does this look like a possible double die?

Here are the pic:

Looks more like a 1918 or 1919 to me.

From the pictures it looks like it, but in person it is a 1916.

    You need some Nick-a-Date.

This is what a dateless 16/16 should look like. Notice the feather tips and extra-thick braid ribbons image

  • Thanks for the information. It is for sure not it.

  • Excellent pic of a dateless doubled die!

Edit to add: Will PCGS slab a dateless 1916 DDO?

Not sure, had mine done by SEGS (Fair-2) Just didn't seem worth the extra money to try PCGS for a coin in that grade.
