Exactly my sentiments. PCGS has been very tough as of late, I just sent in a gem 83-o in pl, I graded 65pl easy, and it came back 64pl. The marks on the cheek limit the grade to a 63. Nice looking coin, though, and I go with 63pl as my official guess.

I am quite happy with the grade. This is what I was expecting. Now, the big question: Will it cross into a PCGS slab at a later date, if need be?
I will post a pic of the coin in the slab when it gets home.

Why'd you submit to ANACS in the first place if you want it in PCGS eventually?
IMO, it would not cross, at least the PL designation- PCGS has been tough as nails on PL and DMPL. >>
I said "IF NEED BE" that doesnt mean that I am gonna try and cross it. AFAIAC its gonna stay right where its at. ANACS seems to be grading tight, but fair. Not so tight as to choke of your air supply and make ya suffocate........
Thanks to relicsncoins and connecticoin that got the grade right! I got another 81-S Morgan that is going of later this week. check it out in another thread!

<< <i>63...nice strike for an O mint but a few too many hits on the cheek for a 64 IMO...

83-O is one of the exceptions to the generaly accepted poor strikes for "O" mint coins, this year is often found with very sharp strikes.
