Stan Musial was the biggest missing piece for me. Living in the St Louis area, I can totally understand why. Mr. Musial is not in very good health these days, and I'm sure the trip to NY with all the stuff going on was too much on him. While I missed Stan Musial, I sure hope he will be around to get his much deserved recognition at the 09' All Star Game, in St. Louis.
There has never been a better man to play MLB, than Stan Musial. A very kind gentleman, and class act.
So many comments jump to mind right now, none of the good or appropriate. Guess I had too much to drink at lunch, some Sam Adams with the meal and mutiple Blueberry Mojitos with dessert on a 90 degree day. Best part of the meal was the fact that the wife was not there, just a "friend from work".
The most senior living member of the Hall of Fame was not present ... Bob Feller. Feller was inducted in 1962! Kudos to anyone who knew this without looking it up.
/s/ JackWESQ
P.S. Feller was born in 11.3.18, making him 89. (Perhaps now might be a good time to pick up some of his cards?)

Hmmm...Why would 3 Finger Brown give you inappropriate thoughts after having Blueberry Mojitos with a "friend from work" and your wife not there?

He was not at last year's HOF induction weekend - I was told he has not been back since his induction in 1999. Apparently he's not into the HOF festivities.

Oh ok. So do you really like blueberry mojitos? Or were you just drinking them because the bartender couldn't make a Pink Squirrel, Amaretto Sour, or a Cosmopolitan?
Bob Feller was there. Bob is the classiest guy in the bunch. Koufax was not- I've heard he has some gripe with the Dodgers and baseball. No Jim Bunning. No Tom Seaver. No Bench. Many were missing- I was a little dissapointed. And the bitter old Mays- he needs to let it go. Mickey71
gameused...if it helps your cause I'm drinking "Jamaican me Happy" from Seagrams.....its DELICIOUS. my local liquor mart sold out of the stuff for the past two weeks...goes down easy, just likea good prostitute.
<< <i>BTW, real men drink scotch, bourbon, or some other type of mash whiskey for dessert. The occasional glass of port or cognac is acceptable as well. >>
Nah.... Real men don't drink, period. I have never seen anything positive result from drinking. I would not drink alcohol if it was given to me for free. No desire for the crapola.

<< <i>He had a "meeting" with Robin Ventura behind the stadium >>
Hah, I remember when that happened. I couldn't believe that Ventura thought Ryan was throwing at him. Even at Ryan's age he could still bring the heat. Regarding Ventura, what else could you expect from a former OSU player because they like to fight. Or at least try to. Get'um Nolan

Indeed, he was (and is) my grandpa's favorite player by far, and he's been an Indians fan ever since he won $10 for correctly picking them to win the AL (and then World) Championship (he bet with three other guys who picked Boston, New York, and Detroit) in 1948. Unfortunately for him, the Tribe hasn't won it all since, but boy they sure came close in 1997, didn't they?

And, did Willie Mays mean to stiff Josh Hamilton on the handshake, or did he just not realize he was standing there with his hand out?
<< <i>Pete Rose >>
Not really missing as he is not in the Hall of Fame unless he is in Cooperstown, NY and has a general admission ticket.
Although in my opinion he should be in the Hall, regardless of his issues, he was still a great hitter and a Hall caliber player.

I was surprised cryogenic Ted Williams head did not make an appearance. I am sure it has kept well, and may even come with a pack of Dippin Dots.

I noticed this too.
Hamilton finally just patted Mays on the back, and he still didn't turn around.
Maybe he did after the camera cut away.
