Camera question

My 3 megapixel 3x optical zoom camera doesn't cut it anymore. What are your camera's stats, and are you happy with it?

I would think your camera would be adequate, assuming you have a decent macro setting. I have a similar camera and have been able to get decent shots experimenting with shutter speeds and non-florescent lighting.

Does your camera have a setting for shutter speed priority? Also, as has been said many time before, a tripod is necessary. I have a remote shutter control, which also helps.

No shutter speed control, no shutter speed priority, I use a lamp with a GE Reveal bulb, and I use a tripod.

Becoka just started a forum on coin photography, and I know "what is your setup" is one of the topics, there is already some good info and camera folk over there.
