specifically the part where the seller "teaches" buyers to make the coin look more aged (see the example with the 1909-sVDB below the 1894-S dime)
is this allowed by ebay standards?

I also love the instructions on how to AT a coin to make it look more "natural".
Holy Cow.

Also the surfaces look to prooflike and even the antiqued toned one is totaly un-natural looking.
Still it's pathetic that they allow such garbage listings.
<< Coins are directly sent to USA from the manufacturer, which is located in Shanghai China. Everyday, coins are sent via International Express Mail Service (EMS) from the manufacturer to our headquarter in Metuchen, New Jersey. >>
With headquarters in New Jersey, is slicksilverware a Chinese operation, or is this a US operation that outsources manufacturing to China, like how Apple outsources iPhone manufacturing to China? This seller's items say COPY, not REPLICA, and seem similar to the ones sold by say NCM, Ken Potter, and others.
now in the heart of the "new" far east!!!! Little India is right down the road........in Iselin
one visit could net many "Undocumented Americans".....I think thats what they are called now?

I see no problem with toning a replica
Should be reported for not being listed as Coins & Paper Money > Exonumia > Reproductions
<< <i>The USA connection is a job for the Secret Service to look into says I. >>
I belive this sellers merchandise is legal per HPA
However should be reported for incorrect category should be Coins & Paper Money > Exonumia > Reproductions

type of copies for years, and it appears that U.S. based
operations are behind it even if they are made in China.
Here is some more from a place in Southen Cal. FAKE COINS
The word COPY is correct, not REPLICA per the hobby protection act.
