I don't know about the numbers, but IIRC most of them were 1859-O and 1860-O.

"Supposedly six Liberty Seated were in soft flat packs--an 1864 is pictured somewhere in one of these USCoin Forum threads. It is owned by Bryan Sonnier. Two 1859-O, two 1860-O, and 1871-P are reported to have been in soft flat packs but were broken out."Link

I'm stumped, but you know that's not difficult to do to me image

Great question and worth the boost.

According to Bowers "Coin Treasures and Hoards" Somewhat over 10,000 circulated Seated Dollars came to light during the Treasury release 0f 1962-1964 these being found late in 1962 early 1963, in Federal Reserve banks in the Midwest. Among early Liberty Seated dollars of the without motto type (1840-1865) the most plentiful date was 1847. Among dollars of the 1866-1873 years the most often seen was 1871. The typical coin graded VF or EF and had light gray toning. Bowers recalls seeing no Mint State coins at all, nor extremely worn ones. There were no great rarities such as 1851 or 1852 but there were a number of scarcer dates such as 1844,1848, and 1870-CC.

1859-O Liberty Seated Dollars- Somewhat over 1,000 Dollars were found during the early days of the 1962-1964 Treasury relase of Silver Dollars Virtually all were heavily bagmarked or abraided.

!860-O Liberty Seated Dollars- Up to several thousand came to light 1962-1963 Treasury release. Nearly all were very heavily bagmarked. A lesser quantity of 1859-O Dollars were found at the same time.

!871 Liberty Seated Dollars- Walter Breen has stated that at least 2,000 uncirculated pieces were released in 1962-1963 but no independent confirmation of such a quantity has been possible and it seems highly unlikely. Only a few Mint State coins have come on the market.

1872 Liberty Seated Dollars- Walter Breen has stated that at lest 1,000 Uncirculated pieces were released in 1962-1963 but this is not verified. Bowers conclusion that quantities of Mint State 1871-1872 remained only a rumor. So far the only quantities of Liberty Seated Dollars in Mint State found at the time were the 1859-O and 1860-O.
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever
