Today's paper: article mentions St. Gaudens and Victor D. Brenner

It's pretty rare to find a contemporary newspaper article that mentions Augustus St. Gaudens and Victor D. Brenner. St. Gaudens designed a plaque and VDB designed a fountain both located in Schenley Park here in Pittsburgh.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    The Magee Memorial was prepared largely by Saint-Gaudens’ assistants. The figure is an adaptation of Amor Caritas with wings removed and a cornucopia added. Brenner’s Song to Nature (Zeus and Persephone is his only large scale sculpture.
