1909-S Indian Cent Counterfeit

Here is a 1909-S indian. You can tell instantly that it's fake because of the full feather tips. All 1909-S Indians have slight lack of definition on the first feather tip.

The mint mark is wrong too.

I originally thought this was an embossed mint mark, but I now think it is a false die counterfeit.

    The dentil border seems wrong, too. Shouldn't it be more defined?

    The S seems very thin, too.

    The closeup of the mintmark does look funny. The devices fade very smoothly into the fields. And the dentils are very smooth too. Compared to how sharp that mintmark is, everything else looks as if it was seen through a blurred lens! Although the dentils can get worn down, that transition from the devices to the fields usually stays pretty sharp on a real coin regardless of wear, correct?

    Maybe it's not counterfeit. The "S" might stand for the Shanghai Mint.
