1964 SMS Roosevelt Dime

Does this coin look like it might be one of the 1964 SMS Roosevelt Dimes? It looks in person different than any other 1964 dimes I have. Very satin like.

I am not for sure if it is or not, so thanks for your help. Does anyone else think differently, or is it just a regular dime?
    Thanks,

Looks like a regular frosty business strike dime.
    When in doubt, don't.
  • What differences do you see on this coin compared to the other 64 dimes you were looking at?

Sorry dude, there is nothing special about that dime in my opinion. If you truly feel otherwise, I suggest sending it to PCGS with your submission fee to have them slab it. Even if it turns out to be a normal run-of-the-mill dime, at least you can rest easily knowing so and can consider the submission fee the cost of tuition (cheap tuition).

The blue toning is interesting, but it's a business strike.

  • If you read the story about the finding of the 1964 SMS coins, I believe they are all accounted for. However it would be interesting news if there were sets that, instead of being thrown in the trash, were broken open and palced into circulation. image
