A pretty circulated (xf 40 imo) Indian head quarter eagle

IMO this is a very attractive quarter eagle. In fact I think I like it as much or more then a picture perfect indian head. It's toning is in all the right places and when in sunlight and a 10x loupe, you can see some more pretty colors in the recesses. It's to bad my coin photo taking abilities are very poor.

This coin was purchased by my grandmother in the '80's. She had plans on making it into jewelry (necklace pendent).

I love it - I think that's the first Reverse Circulated Cameo™ coin I've ever seen.

I bet you're glad she didn't use it for jewelry as she originally planned. image

Yep, I'm glad she was lazy about destroying that coin. She said she paid under $50 for it back when she got it.
