Two collectors.

Had two collectors in today with lists of holes in albums that they wanted to fill. After talking to the first guy, and looking at his want list, I suggested that he start with our $3.95 silver quarter junk box and handed him a magnifying glass. He found a few in there, and with a few carded up pieces was able to complete book two for a little over $50. He left very happy, and will be back to look at other series.

The second guy spent half an hour looking at key dates uch as 1938-D halves, but didn't find anything. Finally I asked him what he was looking for in, say, the 1928-P Peace dollar on the list, and he said "Something under $200." I politely pointed out to him that VG BID was $325, and that any 1928 Peace dollar under $200 would have to have a hole in it or be an eBay fake. He said he will keep looking on eBay to see if he can get lucky.

Sigh.
