Jefferson Enthusiasts; Why did Compradore retire his sets?

Seems like less than a year that he took over #1 spot in many of the catagories. Corso is now back at #1. Any news on this front?

We may never know for sure, but everyone has a point they need to move on. Not sure when that time will be for me. Last week, I just wish my pockets were a little deaper so that I could have gone down just to see the set and maybe take a shot at a few. Not sure who picked up the bulk of the coins. I checked a few of the top nickel guys and they didn't pick up too many. If true, it will be interesting to see if a few new sets start popping in the Registry.
Hope to catch up soon?

I did think the 1957 and 1958-D had extraordinary eye appeal to them although the 57 strike was a tad bit soft. Most of the coins, I couldn't tell due to Heritages poor imaging. They should had shown blow-up shots for all of them. And yes, I did take the time to add up the sales; over $260,000 but this included many dupes and the later set 1971 and up which was a first for a high GPA set.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
My Jefferson Nickel Collection
and I got outbid on all of my bids
BTW, I ended up with 5 of the coins from the auction and was out bid on another 6 or 7. Once he releases the coins, my set will be 100%complete in two or three catagories. I would have been #1 in one catagory if JHF hadn't come along last weekend...
