What is a good photo cropping software that is free?

For editing photos I use Photoshop but it takes to long to open just for a simple cropping job.

Used to use Macromedia Studio MX Fireworks but my hard drive died a few days ago and I cant find the Macromedia disk.

I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

    I use Photoshop also & agree it takes time & often messes with my system.
    Now for simple things I use Hewlet Packer Image Editor that came with my printer.
    It crops, resizes, color adjustment, Text writing, etc. Quick & easy.
    The printer is so-so.

    Photobucket has a cropping feature now.

    If you have a Windows XP Machine, you should have MicroSoft Office Picture Manager, which is what I use all the time.
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It's like Photoshop, but free.

    Microsoft Photo Editor is good. It has a circle crop capacity, which is ideal for coins.

    Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...

    I like Irfanview... it's excellent for batch jobs, as well.

    I like Irfanview also.
    It was a little different from what I was used to but it is very acceptable.

    IrfanView is my preference, due to speed and minimal amounts of unnecessary clutter. Just watch if you associate a lot of file types with this application, because all of your image file icons will be changed to bright red flattened cats (my best description).

    I also like the free version of Serif Photo Plus, which allows you to select round things (like coins) and cut them out of the picture. You can also rotate images of coins that were not perfectly level when photographed. I used this program extensively when putting together my half dime set "group photo."

    It only takes a few seconds for me to open photoshop and crop. Most everything here seems like it would take just as long.
