Ok coin sniffers, what coin or coins would you buy if everything goes belly up?

Things look grim these days, high gas prices, not too many coin deals are selling, milk is $3.99 a gallon. So what coin would you buy if everything else goes in the toliet?

I'm still thinking gold coins of anykind.

Egad. It's still under $4.50 here. And I have occasionally seen it "on sale" for $3.79-$3.99.

don't you love it? While I do feel that we are in for a good, lengthy bear market we aren't headed for a complete collapse and depression or "glorious depression" as some folks leave me the impression how they feel.

Don't mean to bash the OP. Not my intention. Just other posts on this forum. This thread is actually a little fun and interesting. If it were to happen I'd love to collect a date set of Saints

AU and low MS gold half eagles, eagles, and double eagles when you can buy them right. Milk is on sale here at Kroger for 2/$6.00. We go through a gallon a day!

No change here, just hope that nice coins would be available at affordable prices (and not going into hiding). High prices bring the monsters out to play.
