1970 S lincoln variations

I have a 1970 S cent that appears the mint mark is a lot closer to the date than the other two I have. I am pretty sure they are all large dates. Is this common for the mint marks to be in different locations? I would offer a picture but my wife thought it was a good idea to throw away my little cheap digital camera (that took great pictures of coins) away.

Up until the early 80's, branch mints all punched their mint marks on the die's received from Philadelphia.

As a result, mint marks could and did move around quite a bit.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
