Advanced collector of BREWERIANA. Early beer advertising (beer cans, tap knobs, foam scrapers, trays, tin signs, lithos, paper, etc)....My first love...U.S. COINS!
MS61RB net to come home in a BB if submitted due to the rim nicks(oh yeah, they almost certainly wouldn't add the color designation even if they graded it)!!!
After shedding a bit more light on the subject coin (photo above) I have the following observations:
It is a very attractive toned Bust Dime with mint state details The rim dings on the obverse will likely severely bump it into a bodybag, or perhaps more likely will net grade it to AU-55-58 Although always difficult to discern from photos, I may detect a bit of circulation wear (I hope not altered surfaces) in the obverse fields to the left and right of Miss Liberty
I am very interested in seeing the answer! -- Excellent Guess the Grade thread!!

The rim nicks at 8:00 don't bother me as much as the one at 10:00. Very attractive coin, though, fully struck, nice color, no distracting marks on the devices, +/- rub -- can't tell. Put me in the 63 crowd.

the forum says 64 #1 63 #6 61 #1 BU #2 AU #2 NCS damaged #1 that's a wide range!
NGC says MS62
My dealer says "The abstract thought of an MS62 Capped Bust Dime is certainly nothing to get excited about. This particular coin, in hand, is another story, however. It's sharp, clean, highly original looking and attractively toned, especially on the obverse. Few coins of this type and grade offer the impressive combination of attributes that this one does."
Does anyone have any thing to say regarding the grade, or the dealers comments?
I agree with the dealer's comments. Save them for when you want to sell it to see if the comments are the same. I assume the rim hits did in the grade of this coin more than anything else.
Comments
Grade-wise, it looks BU; MS-63 would be my max grade, but the coin does have some excellent eye-appeal.
