Did Anaconda's coin do better or worse than you..

I still have a hard time getting around at the Heritage web site. Did the coins Anaconda sold bring more or less than you thought they would? Also does anyone have any issues when they go to the Heritage site? As soon as i get there my computer bogs down and the fan comes on like it is really working to pull pages up. I have no problems at any other web site.

I am almost sure I saw this coin in hand some time ago...maybe early in the year? I forget when, but anyway, it is beautifully toned and Anaconda's pics told the true story of what it looked like. Sold for $253. BARGAIN! Anaconda wanted around $600 or $700 for the coin. It is easily worth a $100+ more than the price realized. I know this is but one coin of many, but that's the series I follow.
Anaconda had it priced at $800, it sold here at Hertiage for $218.50 with bp.
My bid of $4145 was outbid by another internet bidder who won it at $4312 (including Buyer's fee).

I agree he seemed to really like pretty things and priced them so that you had too really, really, really like them to get them from him.
I didn't see any raving bargains nor monster prices in gem seated. A VF25 small eagle half nearly brought $70K which seemed good. Some of the NGC MS65 bust halves (2 overdates) fetched in the high $6's to mid 8's which indicated they were closer to 65 than to 64. It wasn't too long ago that crappy looking MS65's could fetch under $5K. Now those fetch around $6K while the true gems are over $10K.
Overall I felt they did better than I thought they would, especially in this smaller, early-summer venue. There was no fire sale here and seated type coins that brought under bid looked to be dipped, washed out, or lucky to be graded as they were.

But all their prices were negotiable.
