You are at the local card shop... The only packs they have available are searched 1993 select rookie and traded where no inserts are left...

You rip into a pack... If you could pick any ten cards to be in your pack what would they be?

Edit: this pack is not search so your dreams could be ruined and you might actually pull an insert. They were fairly easy to pull at 1:2908 packs.

Roger, I think this contest is not getting much play because it requires too much thinking. Maybe you should change the title to "What beer am I drinking" or "What kind of toilet do you prefer" ( elongated or standard) . I know I would play.

Sorry Roger, I don't know anything about early nineties cards. I remember having some Hot Rookie cards of Juan Gone and Frank Thomas and feeling certain that they would be worth a lot one day.

Does no one else remember that Kirk Rueter was called up by the Expos in mid 1993 and went 8-0? His card carried this set when it came out and was going for $8-$10. Kevin Stocker was also about a $5 card.

Incidentally, there was no Piazza or Jeter in the set.

Sometimes I think Roger and I were the only people on these boards that collected in the 90s. No wonder the modern card market collapsed around '99 and all those companies went out of business.

I only got Rickey Henderson from my list BUT other highlights include such greats as "Blas Minor". And who could forget the legendary "Kevin Roberson". And a surprise appearance by "random 1992 Topps footballs non-stars". Followed by the "M's logo from 1987 Fleer stickers"!!!!!!!!

I was collecting at that time. This was when I was actually doing shows and such.
